History

Every year since 1991, À Contre-Courant has hosted the Coupe de Montréal des maîtres nageurs gais et lesbiennes. Since 1997, this event, which attracts up to 300 participants from fifteen-odd cities across Canada, the United States and even Europe, has been held at the end of November during American Thanksgiving weekend.
