Eligibility

Swimming

To be a 'master swimmer' does not mean that swimming no longer holds any secrets for us. It only means that we love the sport and want to train seriously. Neither does it oblige us to participate in competitions. But if we do, we only swim against athletes in the same age group as us. That is the principle that the masters network is based on. In other words, you don't have to measure yourself against a 20-year-old when you're 20 or 30 years older!

Whether a beginner or an elite swimmer, all are welcome to attend ACC's workouts, which are adapted to different levels of performance. The minimum requirement is to have the rudiments of the crawl, breaststroke and backstroke, and to be able to swim at least four lengths of the pool (4 X 25 m). As for butterfly...well that can be arranged, as long as you are ready to learn on the fly! Please note: The club does not offer swimming lessons, but workouts. These are run by qualified coaches, capable of giving good tips and helping even the most experienced to perfect their styles.
